Oyster Run is the largest 1-day motorcycle event in Washington State. Bikers from all over converge on Anacortes for a day of socializing, story-telling, shopping, and entertainment. With live music, a car show, and performances by both the Tenino Drill Team and the Seattle Cossacks, there's plenty to do besides enjoy oysters on the half shell. Oh, yeah, there's thousands of bikes of all makes, sizes, and colors to look at.

This year was the largest event yet. The 80 degree sunshine certainly helped out. The downside was the tremendous traffic jam coming into and leaving town. There was at least a 3-mile backup leaving town about around 4pm. Lots of bikes had to pull over to the side of the road to cool down and wait for traffic to break. For next year, we suggest getting to town early, finding a cool spot to sit and watch the crowd, and leaving later in the day after the fuss has all settled.
